Many of us have fond memories growing up in our childhood homes. For me, it started when I was a baby, living in mobile homes on U.S. Marine Corps bases while my dad fought in various battles to defend our country. We then “moved on up” to a small four-bedroom two bath home with my four brothers and lots of neighborhood friends and antics. No matter the size of the house, it was always special. Fast forward to graduating from college to fulfill a yearning to be outdoors and I landed in the Rocky Mountains. I started  a family and designed and built our own home. I’m witnessing the same progression as other families are seeing the light and deciding to set down roots in Telluride or at least get their feet wet with the purchase of a second home or ski condo. Living in the Rocky Mountains, in a historic town with incredible natural beauty and a ski area is a dream of many and a reality for a bit more than a lucky few. Telluride is hard to resist especially because of the great schools, close-knit community and of course highly ranked ski mountain and summer festivals. No matter your price range, there are options.
