Telluride/Montrose Air Service Takes Massive Jump

Telluride is proud to announce new air service for the 2014-15 season. Beginning in December, Telluride will see a 20% increase in destination flights arriving at the Telluride/Montrose Airport (MTJ).

New this year, United Airlines will introduce nonstop service from San Francisco (SFO) and US Airways/American will offer direct service from Phoenix-Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) will see a 46% increase in seats and expanded first-class cabin availability. Additionally, United Airlines will increase its Newark (EWR) to Telluride/Montrose seat capacity by about 50%.

Nearby Airports

Located in Southwestern Colorado, Telluride has two nearby airports that have direct flights from major cities around the United States.

Montrose/Telluride Regional Airport (MTJ) to Telluride is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive on well-maintained State Highways through the San Juan mountains. Rental cars, airport transfers and shuttle services are available.

Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) is a 10-minute drive away from Telluride and Mountain Village. Shuttle services and car rentals are available, and many Telluride and Mountain Village hotels also offer complimentary pickup and drop-off services.
