Telluride Properties brokers, Asa Van Gelder and Marty Stetina, recently visited Milan to attend the 13th Annual Luxury Real Estate International Symposium, Wednesday, January 16th through the 18th, hosted by Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate. The event attracted top luxury real estate professionals, brokers and management from 13 different countries to exchange ideas, explore future business opportunities and generate global partnerships.
The International Symposium was a dynamic three-day event featuring several informative panels and lively discussions covering various topics pertinent to selling and marketing luxury homes around the world. Keynote speaker Giuseppe Tomasetti, a former international business lawyer and the founder of Tomasetti Family Winery, addressed the present state of the luxury real estate market through a range of perspectives and examined a variety of external influences that play a role. Further topics discussed included ‘Successes, Difficulties and Challenges of the European Markets,’ ‘How September 11, 2001, Had an Increasing Effect on Real Estate Transactions Around the World’ and ‘Blockchain: Beyond Bitcoin.’
“A common refrain from the experts throughout a wide band of luxury markets was the motivation of buyers seeking a lifestyle. This desire of the wealthiest people to seek out properties and places that provide a quality of life and a place to gather the family for a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life bodes well for the continued health of the Telluride market,” said Van Gelder.
The event allowed attendees the opportunity to connect with other luxury real estate professionals, discuss the latest trends in the industry and develop long-lasting business relationships to expand their global referral network.
Following the symposium, Asa & Marty joined other LRE members in the stunning ski hamlet of Corvara, Italy set against the dramatic backdrop of the Dolomites. The pair, along with Marty’s lovely wife Tara, thoroughly immersed themselves in the local cuisine and thrills of European skiing.
