San Miguel Tops List of Counties With Longest Life Expectancy

We all know that Telluride is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, and as it turns out, that environment has been having a positive impact on the overall health of our community. In a recent study, San Miguel County was named as one of the top 25 Counties in the United States with the longest life expectancies.  

This report, conducted by US News and World Report, assessed nearly 3,000 U.S. counties across more than 80 metrics. This study shows the longest average life expectancies at birth for the period of 2017-19 based on data obtained from the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute’s County Health Rankings and Roadmaps program.
